D-Foot International has a long-standing history of uniting a global network of dedicated diabetic foot care specialists, who represent more than 170 countries.
Two regional representatives coordinate each region.
The IWGDF-guidance documents form a basis for the diabetic foot management and pathology prevention programmes, which are run by the national representatives.
The national representatives also constitute the General Assembly.
Dubai, 15-17 February 2018
D-Foot will initiate the D-Foot Implementation Summit, which will be organised every two years.
Participants will exchange experience, report on their own implementation national programme, learn about new tools, telemedicine, data collection and e-learning projects.
In 2018, the event will be organised in conjunction with the Gulf Diabetic Foot Study Group (GDFSG) meeting.
D-Foot supports the key opinion leaders from the seven regions by assisting them with their regional organisations and meetings.
Most leaders already have established meetings in place. They receive the full faculty member support, and are able to use the D-Foot logo, provided that they meet the criteria regarding quality of education.
The Hague, 22-25 May 2019
